In Dialogue

Dialogue is a form of life. It reaches beyond the exchange of words. What is spoken carries histories, cultures, and experiences, taking on new life through the encounter. From these encounters, plausible fields of relationship begin to form, opening possibilities for what might be understood, created, and set in motion. This understanding of dialogue, informed by Socrates, Gergen, Bakhtin, and Steyaert, is central to my work.

This blog grows from that orientation. It is a dialogue with ideas as they take shape, bringing disciplines, theory, research, and practice into relation. Here, I invite readers into my work as it unfolds: into the questions, encounters, and experiences through which understanding begins to form, and into the different places where the work develops, from conferences and other forums to journal articles, book chapters, working reports, and other outlets.

Through In Dialogue, I want to stay close to the movement of inquiry: to ideas being worked through, perspectives meeting, and insights emerging along the way. The blog follows how research moves into practice, becoming practical and practised as it is engaged with, brought into dialogue, and taken into everyday work.

This is an invitation to enter my work, engage with the ideas, and become part of the dialogue as it develops.

Ideas take shape in dialogue. What might emerge when we think together?
